VAPOR BLASTING

New Mexico's ONLY source for VaporBlasting

Vapor Blasting projects a slurry, containing media and water, towards a surface under high air and water pressure.  The water cushions the medias' impact, provides a liquid honing effect, and flushes away the contaminates (grease, dirt, oxidation, rust, etc). This cushioning effect helps eliminates media imbedding into the surface. It flows and cleans in areas that dry blasting won't, like inside of carburetors, ports and deep cylinder fins. The finish that vapor blasting provides is like the part was just cast. Surfaces are more than cleaned, they are 'treated', and precision tolerances such as bearing fits and piston size are not changed. This treatment 'peens' surfaces which helps significantly slow any further oxidation by reducing the porosity of the metal.

Vapor Blasting offers an environmentally friendly method of providing contaminant-free surfaces and uses limited amounts of water. This, and the attractive surface finish it produces, is why it has become the go-to choice for most modern restoration projects.

Uses from Vapor Blasting are:

-Restoration of automotive and motorcycle parts and engine components

-Treating a surface to make it metallurgically clean, prior to electro-plating, or other coating

    processes.

-Removing stubborn carbon deposits from internal engine parts.

-Deburr and remove CNC tooling marks post production.

Internal workspace envelope is 33″W x 30″D x 28″H
